Basketball Recap: Orange Finds Playoff Glory Versus Duarte

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orange walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 46-32 victory over the Duarte Falcons on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Panthers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Orange was led to victory by Mark Hernandez-Chino and Vic Ceja. Hernandez-Chino posted 16 points, while Ceja put up 15 points. The dominant performance gave Hernandez-Chino a new career-high in points.

The win (which was Orange's third in a row) raised their record to 6-24. As for Duarte, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-16.

Looking ahead, Orange will square off against South El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South El Monte will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Orange surely won't give up without a fight. Duarte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
