Tucker Israel of Lake Nona breaks Florida single-game yardage record. Records also fall in Nebraska and Utah.

Tucker Israel of Lake Nona (Orlando, Fla.) already owns a number of career passing state records, but last week he added the single game passing yardage record to his resume. His 659-yard effort topped the passing performances among this week's MaxPreps National Football Stat Stars.

In a 59-42 win over St. Cloud (Fla.), Israel completed 39 of 51 passes for 659 yards and eight touchdowns, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Israel became the first quarterback from Florida to surpass the 600-yard benchmark. Two of his receivers, Deondre Farrier (15 catches, 265 yards) and Mehdi Elattrach (9-250) both finished among the top receivers in the nation for the week.

Israel already owns the record for career completions (841), career attempts (1,335), career yards (12,133), career touchdowns (136) and single-game touchdowns (10).

Meanwhile, Jadyn Kowalski of Bellevue West (Neb.) set a state record for passing yards in a game with his 599-yard effort in a 47-43 loss to Creighton Prep (Omaha, Neb.).

Joseph Tiatia of Hunter (West Valley City, Utah) also set a state record, as he ran for 456 yards in a 40-13 win over Hillcrest (Midvale, Utah). His total topped the previous high of 451.
