Basketball Recap: Magnolia's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Magnolia had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Tomball Cougars by a score of 59-51 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.

Magnolia's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-13. As for Tomball, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Magnolia will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Magnolia West at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Magnolia is facing Magnolia West at the right time seeing as Magnolia West is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tomball, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tomball Cougars face off against the Waco Lions on Friday.
