Volleyball Game Preview: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Legacy Lions

The Treasure Coast Titans will take on the Legacy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Treasure Coast's win against Westwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Legacy made easy work of Central on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Legacy was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Legacy's win came from a few key players Treasure Coast will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kherington Neikirk, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last ten matchups. Taylor Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Legacy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Treasure Coast, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
