Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons vs. Sierra Lutheran Falcons        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Yerington, the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons were happy to have found some success  on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy  47-32 win over Sierra Lutheran. Winning is a bit easier when  you outrebound your opponent 19 to 8 on the offensive boards, as Coral Academy of Science - Reno did.
 Coral Academy of Science - Reno's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Kailyn Damasco led the charge by  scoring six points along with six  rebounds and five  steals. Damasco has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last six times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Thornton, who  scored four points along with 11  rebounds.
 Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Samantha Steyn, who  scored 12 points along with four  steals and three  blocks. Steyn is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed four or more in the last five games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Rezsia Berger, who  scored five points along with two  steals.
 Coral Academy of Science - Reno's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-13. As for Sierra Lutheran, they now  have a losing record at 8-9.
 Coral Academy of Science - Reno will square off against West Wendover at 5:20  p.m.  on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Nevada (West Wendover is ranked 51st, while Coral Academy of Science - Reno is ranked 73rd). As for Sierra Lutheran, they and Oasis Academy will face off  at 12:30  p.m.  on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sierra Lutheran is facing Oasis Academy at the right time seeing as Oasis Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
