Basketball Recap: Dime Box Takes a Loss

Dime Box played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Fayetteville Lions, falling 60-20. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in January.

Fayetteville found their leader in freshman Maycee Miller, who went 8 of 13 en route to 18 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotti Beseda, who posted six points and seven steals.

Dime Box has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Fayetteville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.

Dime Box will be playing at home against Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville, they will venture away from home to challenge North Zulch at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
