Old Plank Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Seven Rivers Christian 56-32 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Defenders considering their 12-point performance the game before.

Troy Howell was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and one score on only six carries. Those 180 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Termayne Tukes got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Hilliard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Branford, falling 37-13. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Red Flashes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Old Plank Christian Academy strolled past Hilliard when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 19-0. Will the Defenders repeat their success, or do the Red Flashes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
