Softball Recap: Tolleson's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Tolleson put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over the Millennium Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jada Rubalcava was incredible, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Alisson Martinez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Tolleson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Tolleson pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs. As for Millennium, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Tolleson will face off against La Joya Community at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Millennium, they will challenge Cesar Chavez at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Millennium is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
