Mater Academy East Las Vegas never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They breezed by the Western Warriors to the tune of 37-0. Considering the Knights have won nine contests by more than 19 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas found their leader in sophomore Cheyanne Thornhill, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Thornhill has posted since back in January of 2024.

The win was the sixth in a row for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, bringing their record for this year to 18-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.2 points per game. As for Western, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas and Western are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Mater Academy East Las Vegas will face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western, they will challenge Virgin Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
