Basketball Recap: George County Comes Up Short

George County lost against Pascagoula back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The George County Rebels had to suffer through a 61-16 loss at the hands of the Pascagoula Panthers. The game marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

George County dropped their record down to 7-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Pascagoula, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.

George County and Pascagoula could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. George County will challenge West Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 137 places (158 vs. 21). Similarly, Pascagoula (ranked 84th) will meet Hancock (ranked fifth) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
