Recap: Hanover Bears vs. Shaker Bison
After a string of three wins, the Hanover Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 55-23 loss at the hands of Shaker. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Hanover couldn't push the score so high this time.
Shaker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Hoblock out in front who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Tori Russo was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six steals.
Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Shaker, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Hanover won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Johnson City at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Johnson City is ranked 24th in New York, while Hanover is ranked 12th in New Hampshire). Shaker won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wallkill at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Wallkill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
