Football Recap: South Miami Falls to Coral Reef in First Game of Season

South Miami unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Coral Reef Barracudas 54-0 on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Sebastian Reglado had a dynamite game For Coral Reef., rushing for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Another back making a difference was Amari Germain, who rushed for 61 yards and one TD.

Coming up, South Miami is taking a road trip to take on Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coral Reef, they will welcome Sunset at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
