Mount Calm will take on the Bluff Dale Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Mount Calm will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Bynum, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Mount Calm enjoyed a cozy 60-46 win over Bynum on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mount Calm.

Mount Calm found their leader in sophomore Trey Walker, who rushed for 279 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes. Those 279 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Walker. Another player making a difference was Mason Carmean, who threw for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes.
Mount Calm was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Bluff Dale won against Morgan back in October with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kopperl 68-16. Considering the Bobcats have won eight matchups by more than 40 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Mount Calm better keep an eye on Alex Saucedo. He was instrumental in Bluff Dale's win, rushing for 188 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and one touchdown. Josiah Rogers was in the mix too, providing the Bobcats with one score.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Bluff Dale, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jace Coffman, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Mount Calm's record is now 8-2. As for Bluff Dale, their record now sits at 9-1.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Mount Calm has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 214.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bluff Dale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 208.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
