Lampeter-Strasburg and Donegal are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Donegal Indians at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lampeter-Strasburg is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Manheim Central. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Barons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Cyana Rosa looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Mackenzie Mack was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Isabelle King was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Donegal made easy work of Dover on Friday and carried off a 13-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Jordin Meyers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samyah Deleon, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Milana Bucks, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lampeter-Strasburg took their victory against Donegal when the teams last played back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 13-0. Does Lampeter-Strasburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Donegal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
