Soccer Recap: Harrison Central Gets the Win

Harrison Central's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Minerva Lions 4-1. Considering Harrison Central's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Minerva with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Triston Cole (2), Cooper Thompson, and Justin Scott.

Harrison Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Minerva, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Harrison Central will welcome Tuscarawas Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tuscarawas Valley's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Minerva, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minerva will be up against Aquinas' rather soft defense (which has allowed seven goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
