Manatee gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 12-6 W over the Braden River Pirates. For the Hurricanes, this counts as revenge for the 61-0 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Manatee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Aliyah Freeman.
