Volleyball Game Preview: O'Connor Eagles vs. Sunnyslope Vikings + Official Tickets

The O'Connor Eagles will head out to take on the Sunnyslope Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. O'Connor will be strutting in after a victory while Sunnyslope will be coming in after a loss.

O'Connor took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mountain Ridge with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Sunnyslope faced Xavier College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Vikings came up short against the Gators, falling 3-0. The Vikings have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Sunnyslope was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Xavier College Prep's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15, 26-24.

Sunnyslope's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for O'Connor, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

O'Connor was able to grind out a solid win over Sunnyslope in their previous meeting on Saturday, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
