Flag Football Recap: Poway's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday + How To Watch

Poway lost against Carlsbad back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Titans took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Lancers are ranked 20th).

The defeat snapped Poway's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record. As for Carlsbad, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Poway will host Vincent Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Scots have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. As for Carlsbad, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 45-0 victory against Oceanside on the 2nd.
