Soccer Recap: Holtville Comes Up Short

Holtville lost against Tallassee back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-1. Holtville were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Holtville and nudges their season record down to 4-9-1. As for Tallassee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holtville will venture away from home to square off against Brewbaker Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tallassee, they will head out to challenge Saint James at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tallassee's defense better be ready for this one: Saint James have averaged an impressive 4.1 goals per game this season.
