Lucy Beckham dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to the Stratford Knights. The Bengals were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Lucy Beckham had strong showings from Jaden Gethers, who rushed for 100 yards on only seven carries, and Finn Gunter, who rushed for seven yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As for Stratford, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games.

Meliq McGowan was his usual excellent self, rushing for 282 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

Lucy Beckham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-0 win against Goose Creek on the 17th. As for Stratford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 38-24 victory against Cane Bay on the 17th.
