Baseball Recap: Wapakoneta Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Wapakoneta dropped their record down to 12-2 on Thursday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Elida Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Redskins were not able to get on the board.

As for Elida, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games.

For Elida's part, the result came thanks to Ryan McGue's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks.
