The Tolono Unity Rockets will be playing at home against the Pontiac Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Tolono Unity can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 57-37 margin over Prairie Central. Given Tolono Unity's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Prairie Central is ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Raegen Stringer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with seven steals and five assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Reagan Little was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Pontiac posted their biggest win yet this season last Thursday. They blew past Prairie Central 64-27 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pontiac.
Tolono Unity is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Pontiac, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.
