South Bend Riley waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the La Porte Slicers with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Slicers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

South Bend Riley's got stronger as the match went on, holding La Porte to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-13.

Oscar Coronado was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 17 digs.

South Bend Riley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-12. As for La Porte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.

South Bend Riley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 3rd. As for La Porte, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Merrillville on the 1st.
