Recap: West Florence Knights vs. Hartsville Red Foxes
The West Florence Knights suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Hartsville on the road and fell 64-24. While losing is never fun, West Florence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Hartsville is ranked 35th).
Jazzy Frierson was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven assists and five rebounds for Hartsville. Frierson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Brooke Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
West Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Hartsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Florence will take on South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game.
