Gray Collegiate Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Gilbert Indians. For the War Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

While Gray Collegiate Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gilbert scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Sadie Williamson paced Gray Collegiate Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Williamson got some help from Haylee Falco and her 17 assists. Ella Perez controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Despite the defeat, Gilbert saw an underclassman step up: freshman Abigail Widmann had ten digs and two assists.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Gilbert, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

Gray Collegiate Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Midland Valley on the 25th. As for Gilbert, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against North Augusta on the 25th.
