Ashbrook has gone a perfect 3-0 against Berry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Greenwave will head out to square off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

Ashbrook can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Wednesday. They came up short against Bessemer City, falling 53-31.

Despite their defeat, Ashbrook saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Samaria Lomick, who posted 11 points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna McDowell, who earned six points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Berry took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They secured a 43-37 W over West Mecklenburg.

Ashbrook better focus on containing Julia Miller and Ava Williams as the pair were huge in Berry's win. Miller shot 63% from the field to rack up 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Williams went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points and eight boards.

Everything came up roses for Ashbrook against Berry in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 56-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greenwave since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
