Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Wildcats vs. South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings
After flying high against Old Rochester Regional on Wednesday, West Bridgewater came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings by a score of 13-12 on Thursday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

West Bridgewater saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alanna Fidalgo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. Fidalgo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Haylee Krakowski was another, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs.
West Bridgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Bridgewater will face off against Apponequet Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Lakers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, they will take on Westport at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
