Bauxite hasn't had much luck against Pulaski Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bauxite Miners will take on the Pulaski Academy Bruins at 5:00 p.m. Bauxite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Bauxite took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Bismarck.

Bauxite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Kelley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Tony Fox was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Bauxite hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Pulaski Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Central Arkansas Christian on Tuesday. Considering the Bruins have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bauxite now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pulaski Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
