Softball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Highland Prep had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it six. They fell just short of the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 12-11. Even if the Highlanders couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

As for Trinity Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games.

For Trinity Christian Academy's part, Kaitlyn Manzano was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Manzano has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Charleigh Morasse, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Lake Highland Prep will welcome Master's Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
