Basketball Recap: Catawba Ridge Find Success

Catawba Ridge won the last time they faced Northwestern, and Mark Caslaru did his part to make sure it happened again. The Catawba Ridge Copperheads took down the Northwestern Trojans 55-37 on Tuesday thanks in part to Caslaru, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 20 times he's played.

Kevin Butler was another key player, putting up nine points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rebounds (four).

Catawba Ridge's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Indian Land the next time they take the court. Northwestern will head out to face Indian Land at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while Catawba Ridge will host them at 7:45 p.m. on February 4th.
