Soccer Game Preview: River Valley vs. Columbus International

The River Valley Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Columbus International Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. River Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

River Valley was handed a five-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They never let Harvest Prep get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for River Valley as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Caleb Strother, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Columbus International's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West, sneaking past 2-1. Columbus International haven't had any issues with West recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Columbus International's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for River Valley, their win bumped their record up to 5-10-2.
