McKenzie's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-7 win over the Dresden Lions. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.

Cole Brown was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 112 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Those 70 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Avery Brown was Cole's top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The victory got McKenzie back to even at 1-1. As for Dresden, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKenzie is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Christian County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dresden, they will face off against West Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
