Volleyball Recap: Garinger Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Garinger unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-19.

Aaliyah Williams-Camp paced Garinger's offense, picking up six kills. Williams-Camp got some help from Adesnee Camp and her three assists. Camp also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sydney Glover, racking up two apiece.

Ballantyne Ridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Garinger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Harding University on the 14th. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against West Mecklenburg on the 14th.
