Maury barely beat Tallwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Commodores' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. Maury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Zareya Owens and Zoe Redel scored all four of Maury's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Maury and bumps their season record up to 9-2. As for Tallwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maury will face off against Booker T. Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Maury will be up against Booker T. Washington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.86 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tallwood, they will host Kellam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kellam will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Tallwood surely won't give up without a fight.
