Gabby Dean posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She wasn't messing around, striking out 15 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her fourth straight with seven or more strikeouts.

Looking ahead, Dean and Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will be playing at home against Sherrard at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Dean's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Spartans' five-game streak of wins on the road.
