Basketball Recap: Alva Skates Past Dodge City with Ease

Alva had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 44-17 victory over the Dodge City Demons. The Goldbugs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Alva is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Dodge City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Alva will face off against Woodward at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dodge City, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garden City at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
