Purchase Line took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Cambria Heights, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Dragons had just enough and edged out the Highlanders 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Red Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Purchase Line had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-12.

Purchase Line can attribute much of their success to Alivia Weaver, who had six aces.

Weaver wasn't the only good server: Purchase Line was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Purchase Line's record now sits at 3-0. As for Cambria Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Purchase Line has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Marion Center on the 4th. As for Cambria Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against United on the 4th.
