While Moultonborough Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 win over the Sunapee Lakers on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Sunapee, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Moultonborough Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Pittsburg on the 16th. As for Sunapee, they have also already played their next game, a 19-13 defeat against Franklin on the 16th.
