Basketball Recap: Vanoss Takes Down Ranked Allen

On Saturday, Vanoss faced Allen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Vanoss Wolves walked away with a 43-36 victory over the Allen Mustangs. The win was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cherish Woodward, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Addison Prentice, who put up eight points and three steals.

Vanoss' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Allen, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Vanoss didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-12 win against Caney on the 12th. As for Allen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 81-31 victory against Wetumka on the 10th.
