Carey is on a 12-game streak of home wins, while McComb is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Blue Devils will host the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Carey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Carey is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Colonel Crawford just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Blue Devils, who until this contest were averaging 2.64 runs allowed.

Carey saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Hall, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McComb). They blew past Hardin Northern 30-5 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carey's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 19-3. As for McComb, their win bumped their record up to 13-9-2.
