Football Recap: Bleckley County Skates Past East Laurens with Ease

There's no place like home for Bleckley County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the East Laurens Falcons, posting a 40-0 win. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Bleckley County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Fleming, who threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Those four passing touchdowns gave Fleming a new career-high. 192 of Fleming's passing yards were hauled in by Joshua Stanley.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bleckley County's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Bleckley County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Laurens, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Bleckley County is taking a road trip to challenge Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Laurens, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
