Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chester). Everything went their way against the Eldred Yellowjackets on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hambletonians in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won four in a row.

Chester's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Eldred, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will take on Port Jervis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hambletonians are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Eldred, they will head out to take on Tri-Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
