Football Recap: New Braunfels' Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

New Braunfels lost against Pieper back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Unicorns fell 28-24 to the Warriors. The Unicorns were up 24-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why New Braunfels lost, don't look at LEVI GOLLA. Despite the final result, he threw for 171 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 52 yards.

Cash Lancaster produced another solid effort picking up 120 receiving yards and three TDs for Pieper. Lancaster's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 receiving yards. Andrew Grinestaff did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Braunfels fell to 6-1. As for Pieper, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

New Braunfels didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-14 loss against Smithson Valley on the 24th. As for Pieper, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 49-0 victory against MacArthur on the 24th.
