Midland Valley is 1-9 against North Augusta since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mustangs will host the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Midland Valley will bounce into Friday's contest after beating South Aiken, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs breezed past the Thoroughbreds to the tune of 43-14 on Friday. With the Mustangs ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Preston Smith was another key player, rushing for 93 yards and one score.

Midland Valley's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. In that department, Aaron Adams Jr was the leader with three sacks. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Midland Valley got some further help from Triston Garrett: he forced one fumble, made nine total tackles, and defended one pass.
