Softball Game Preview: Haskell Indians vs. West Texas Comanches

For the second straight game, Haskell will face off against West Texas. The Indians will square off against the Comanches at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Haskell will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Haskell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against West Texas as they made off with a 15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Paige Sheets made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Haskell got a massive performance out of Kayce Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Coleman has posted since back in March. Miley Rodriguez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Haskell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

West Texas' loss dropped their record down to 17-7-1. As for Haskell, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
