It was a good run, but Jefferson City unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tipton Cardinals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Jays came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Cardinals are ranked 411th).

Jefferson City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Tipton, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Jefferson City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-46 victory against Warrensburg on the 30th. Tipton has also already played their next contest (against St. Paul Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
