Basketball Recap: Pinson Valley Comes Up Short

Pinson Valley suffered their closest loss since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Clay-Chalkville Cougars by a score of 55-53. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Pinson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Clay-Chalkville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Pinson Valley will square off against Minor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Minor will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Pinson Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clay-Chalkville, they will take on Gardendale at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
