Ponaganset had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Aiden Harrison did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Chieftains took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-7 win over the Pilgrim Patriots for which the team can thank Harrison, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.
Ponaganset didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hunter Lynch. Ponaganset got some further help from Daniel Cellucci: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Ponaganset's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Pilgrim, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ponaganset will welcome Cranston East at 6:30 p.m. on November 7.
