With a playoff win on the line, Cherokee Bluff rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Baldwin Braves by a score of 66-58. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Baldwin's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janaye Walker, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds. Walker is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Neal, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Cherokee Bluff's record is now 25-8. As for Baldwin, they moved to 25-7 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Cherokee Bluff nor Baldwin have any future games scheduled.
