After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De La Salle, Granada was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the San Ramon Valley Wolves. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Granada got a great performance from Brandon Hahn as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hahn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Granada secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Colton Rieke, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Rieke a new career-high. Max Rocheleau was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Granada's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for San Ramon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7-2.

Granada will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
